Hi: My name is Jaco (Vegi) Heunis from Port Elizabeth, South Africa and these are my Volvo 122 Pics, Specs and History.
History:
Well... the car is a
1970 model with a std. B20 Volvo engine. Still runs like a dream. The car was
originally the same color and when I bought it, the paint job was not in such
a good condition, so we had to re-spray it.
Luckily it
didn't have any rust on it. The mags were in a bad condition and we had a lot
of work fixing them up. We are currently busy giving the engine compartment a
facelift.
About the
history of the car I do not know that much. All I know is that it was owned by
a guy from Holland living in South Africa. A friend of my dad bought the car
from him and after a few years of begging the oke he finally sold the car to
me for R 10,000.
I've also got a 1970 Volvo 164 on which my dad and I spent 6 years restoring! We put so much effort into the car you wouldn't believe! (it's already on the Site check it out here: Volvo 164)
