History:

I have been a Trans Am lover since May of '78, when I went out and bought my very first one. It was a Silver coupe with an automatic transmission and air... We called her the Silver Streak... My next TA was a Black & Gold '84 that I had until 1992.

That's when harder times hit, and I was out of the market. Well finally, life has turned around, and after a lot of hard work and effort, I was able to once again purchase the one car that I had always wanted - a '78 Black Special Edition. It was April of 2006 and I was getting ready to head out to Idaho for my niece's First Communion.

Well the night before, I happen to get on eBay to see what's new, and low and behold - it's a '78 SE Trans Am... AND it's in Boise, Idaho!!! The same place I am heading to the next day. Well, I send off an email to the seller and ask that he call me the next day so I can swing by and see the car. The rest is history, as she now sits in my garage.

I didn't tell my wife about the purchase of the car until after I got back from Boise, as I wanted to see her reaction in person.

Future Projects:

The only remaining items are minor repairs to the engine compartment.

View of the 78 Pontiac Trans Am SE Engine. Even though the Engine is quite visible on this Picture, it's too bad it's not really the focal point. The owner says that he still has some "minor repairs" left to do in the Engine Compartment, but I wonder what kind of repairs, because this Car looks like new everywhere you look.
