Hi: My name is Kenny Grekin from Montreal, Quebec, Canada and just below are my 72 Chevy Nova SS Pics, Specs and History.
Here are some of the 72 Chevy Nova SS Specs and Mods:
POWERTRAIN
History:
I bought this car new. I got it March 15, 1972. When I got it I had the intention of keeping it forever. It's original except for the Trany. It came with a Saginaw. After blowing 12 of them under warranty, I decided to get the Muncie. No Trany problems since. The rest of the car has not been touched except for the paint. The car now has 38,000 miles.
This car has 38 years of history and it would take a lot of space to tell all the stories, but I'll tell the first one. It happened in 72. I got a ticket for doing a burnout. I went to court prepared to tell the judge that I just got the car and that I didn't know how to drive a standard transmission. I'm rehearsing the story in my head while the judge is hearing other cases. The guy before me is charged with spinning his tires. He tells the judge "your honor I just got the car and I have difficulty driving a standard transmission". The judge smiled and said guilty and fined him 50 bucks. At that time 50 bucks was a lot of money. They called my name , I pleaded guilty and was fined 10 bucks. To this day I still find that funny
.
Some of my past and future projects were/are: A paint job which i had done. I also changed the Exhaust System from dual Exhaust running through a single muffler to a Magnaflow complete dual Exhaust System. I'm also changing my original Distributor points for an electronic system.

Very nice Picture of the 72 Chevy Nova SS. This beauty is all original except for the Transmission, the Exhaust set-up and the Body Paint. What is unusual about this Car is that it's owned by the original owner who bought it with the intention of keeping it and to this day he didn't change his mind. Click on the Picture to enlarge. |
This Picture shows the Engine of the 72 Chevy Nova SS with only 38,000 original Miles on it. This Engine is in great shape even though it is the original Engine of this beauty. The only part of this Car that is not original is the Saginaw Tranny which was replaced with a Muncie M21 due to the number of Saginaw Tranny's that kept on blowing. Another Mod the owner is planning is to change the Distributor points type to an Electronic System. Click on this Picture to enlarge. |

Picture showing the Rear and Driver's side of the 72 Chevy Nova SS. Another mod that was done to this beauty besides the Tranny, was the Exhaust which was changed from a Single Exhaust to a true Dual Exhaust. Only one of the Exhaust Tips is visible on this Picture, the other is in the shade, so it is not obvious however, it can be seen in a larger Picture. Just click on this Picture to enlarge and you will be able to see the other Exhaust tip. |
Excellent Picture of the 1972 Chevy Nova SS Front. This Beauty is kept in very good shape as is obvious on this Picture. Everything is shiny on this Car including all the Chrome Trim visible on this Picture as well as the Front Bumper. As this Picture shows, this Muscle Car is low and wide for great aerodynamics and stability for safety at high speeds. Click on the Pic to enlarge. |

Picture of the Dashboard of the 1972 Chevy Nova SS. With the exception of a few after market Gauges and perhaps one or two additional gadgets, most of the Dashboard is original including the Steering Wheel. As is obvious on every Picture, this Muscle Car is in such a great shape that it looks like it just came out of the Assembly Line. Click on the Pic to enlarge. |
