69 Road Runner Pics Specs and History
The 69 Roadrunner Pics, History and Engine Specs
Hi: My name is Joe Holland, from Smithers BC, Canada and these are my 69 Road Runner Pics, Specs and History.
Specs and History:
My car is a 1969 Road Runner. My son clayton and I worked for six years, one
month and 27 days before we got to have our first ride in it. The only thing
that wasn't done in our garage was the paint and the 30 over bore on the
motor. It's a 383 automatic. All the body work was done at home.
We had lots of fun for 800 miles of driving, then disaster struck. After
cutting apart the oil filter on the 6th oil change, I found in the filter's
paper lots of sand. Sand was also found in the gas tank, transmission, power steering and motor.
Between the 5th and the 6th oil change, we drove it about 400 miles.
Now it's rebuild time again... 7 months later, we were on the road again.
We added an anti-theft device and now got 2000 miles on the new motor.
We went to two car shows and the hood remained shut, we took two first
prizes.
