Hi: My name is Ronnie from Pennsylvania, United States and this is my 63 Galaxie 406 (the God Rod).

Here are some Specs and History of the Galaxie in the owner's own words:

Here are some pics, some of the 'show' look, and some of the regular 'street' look.. "smile".. of my 1963 1/2 Galaxie '406'. It is the 406 with 405 HP.. Tri-Power, and has a top-loader 4 spd. with 4:11 Posi Rear Gears.. "smile".

I was looking for a 60's vintage Muscle car.. specially like the 409's... 406's..396's.. 389's.. and 427's.. basically just any 60's car with a big block. Prices had really gone up since years ago when I looked.

Actually I wanted to replace a Hemi Charger that I had new back in the 60's.. but.. "lol"... 100k.. I don't think so.. "smile". Prices seemed to jump again just this year.. anyways.. I found this 63 Galaxie 406 kinda like a miracle.. "lol".. had read the same car paper 3 times.. and had different cars circled.. etc.

There was a nice 396 in Kentucky that I was about to call. Then just having a lazy morning cup of coffee.. and ONE MORE time.. looking thru the coffee mug.. "lol".. and "lo and behold".. right in between some car lot advertisements.. you know the ones.. with all the 'garbage'.. ZERO DOWN>>> WILL FINANCE>> etc.. "lol".. (messy).. was 'hidden' this little ad.

I started reading it.. (had never even seen it before...).. and later the owner said he wondered why he never really got any calls on the car.. "smile".. anyways.. I started reading it.. 1963 1/2 Ford Galaxie.. (ya.. ok.. big deal.. but at least the right year)... kept reading.. 406 (WHAT>>> DID THAT SAY 406???)

I kept reading.. 4 Spd.. (Cool.. I love the old 4 speeds).. Tri-Power... (TRI POWER>>> AM I DREAMING???)... I am sweating by now.. "lol".. here come the final.. 4:11 Posi... (My Favorite gears.. STARTED REACHING FOR THE CELL PHONE>>>)... oh.. by the way.. it is the 406.. with 405HP.

I still remember those 'hoods' at Dayton in the 60's having that painted on them.. "smile".. I didn't find out that it was the 405 HP till I talked to him on the phone.. boy was I sweating the.. possible lower HP.. could've spoiled all the other cool things.. "lol".. I was very glad when he said.. 405 HP.. whew.. (think there were 2 other HP ratings.. of around 345 and 385.. or such).

Anyway.. so I asked him to send pics of the 63 Galaxie.. and not to sell to anyone else.. of course at this point he said no one was even calling.. "smile".. so, he sent the pics, I have become friends with him and his family by the way.. "smile".. and as soon as I saw the pics.. I bought the car over the phone.. "lol".

My friends said I was nuts to send 3k down payment to Wisconsin (3 or 4 states away).. but as you can see it was a good thing.. I had never even heard the car run. I went to his house 5 months later (after the winter) and trailered the 63 Galaxie back here to Pennsylvania.. (Groundhog town).. and have enjoyed it ever since.

The 63 Galaxie is a very popular car at local shows and events.. and I try to always get in how God blessed me with such a car.. and love seeing how it brings so many people together.. "smile".. and of course I am.. like many of you.. a person that would have a 'stable' of many different types of cars after winning the lottery.. "lol".. enjoy the 63 Galaxie.. Ronnie '406'.
