53 Holden FX48-215 PicsHere are the 53 Holden FX48-215 Pics, Specs and HistoryHi: My name is Stuart Walker from Australia and these are my 53 Holden FX48-215 Pics, Specs and History. Specs: 6 Cylinder 132 grey motor original with a top speed of 60 mph with 25,000 miles on the clock 3 speed manual on the tree (column shift) no synchro in first (a real pain in the ass) original leather bench seats no seat belts or indicators (standard from factory) no radio but a place to put one, air conditioning is open cowling vent that lets air in (dust & all) 4 wheel drum brakes, power assisted by pressing the pedal as hard as you can (and prey you stop). History: I bought this car as is. It was restored by someone forty years ago. He supposedly worked at the Holden Plant in Melbourne. The previous owner had the car for ten years and in that time, it spent most of her life in a garage and will continue to do so for many years to come. She is a pleasure to drive but I only drive her locally to take the kids to the park. They love her and named her karma (hopefully a good omen). I have another FX48-215 in restoration but this one is going to be modified with a 3.8 v6 4 speed automatic, 4 wheel disc brakes and I am still thinking about what color and what interior modifications I'll do. Any ideas or tips would be greatly appreciated from one car lover to another. Send your suggestions to: Stuart Walker
