29 Ford Coupe Pics

Here is some History of the Ford Coupe:

This 1929 Ford Coupe is an all STEEL car, not one piece of fiberglass on it. It has a 350 Chevy Roller Prototype hooked to a 700R4 w/lock out 5th spd. for the highway. I know all Ford guys hate when people put Chevy Engines into Fords but it was all I had.

Chopped and channeled 5 inch and extended the front frame 6inch. She's packing a 9 inch Ford rear end w/5.35 gears, "yea" 5.35. In the quarter mile she does high 9's, low 10's (but not with these tires).

Everything underneath is detailed and painted with airbrush by me. Everything on this car was either fabricated by me or my dad. Way to much to list but I will say this... Nothing on the car is original.

I bought her on the side of a road that someone had put out to move and I called and talked the guy into selling it. The price was a little hefty ($3,500) but you cant put a price on love, am I right Hot Rodders? "Ahhh" it took me and my dad over 3 years to restore.

Really the only major issue I had with the car was THE HOLE THING. If I had pictures I would post them but I don't. All I can say is that there was just a STEEL shell with some doors.

I am 16 and I do drive it everyday to school and road trips and I'm not afraid to get a paint chip or scratch on it. She's been on the road for a month now (November 2004) and I got almost 1,300 miles on it.

I am not some rich kid who's parents paid to have this done, I worked hard for this. The paint isn't show quality, my dad's friend painted it for me for my birthday but I think it looks fine. I will take it to car shows and see if it will win something.

Right now she's sitting in the shop collecting dust because it's too cold to drive it, but I miss driving it around.
